Mach 1 Mustang is the Iconic Stang from the Sixties! ~;0) VivaChas Hot Rod Stories
Mach 1 Mustang – Get Ur Print Here ~:0)
Mach 1 Mustang – When I showed this photograph of a client’s 69 Mach 1 Mustang to a rodding buddy he confessed that this was the Mustang he had always dreamed of owning. I responded with, “Why don’t U got one brother?” He mumbled something about money and time. It made me smile knowingly. We’ve all got excuses for why we don’t have something. Or why we haven’t done something. And it all boils down to one thing. Stinking Thinking! – Ha! ~:0)
Hot Rods or Hot Dogs
U know there’s more than enough of everything to go around. Whether it’s Hot Rods or Hot Dogs. The right marketplace means we just keep making the pie larger. – Not complaining that there’s not enough pie to go around. The nice folks who restored this Mach 1 Mustang didn’t do it overnight. They set their minds on the project. Then visualized how the rod would look when they finished with it. The pair even imagined what it would be like driving it. That’s when they made this street machine happen! Starting with their minds first and the physical part followed along and fell into place as needed. And it was all orchestrated by their attitudes. These people are doers. They have set-backs like everyone else. But they’ve learned to set their eyes on the goal and keep moving forward.
69 Mach 1 Mustang Commercial – So Odd
Yeah 1969 was a strange time! TV Commercials were pretty odd as well. This Mach 1 Mustang video features a character or two from a popular comedy show from back then. Have a look and a laugh at the advertising from the time of one of your fave Mustangs! Video Source: Cars & Stripes
“Ford Mach 1 Mustang Concept
In late 1966, Ford designers prepared a Mustang concept to preview some of the design updates coming for the 1969 model. The Mach 1 Mustang was a two-seat fastback with a very aggressive looking chopped roof profile. Each of the rear pillars featured a flip-open racing-style gas cap while larger than normal air-scoops dominated the flanks. The sloped rear end included a hatchback, a feature that wouldn’t appear on a production model until the 1974 Mustang II.” Source: http://www.netcarshow.com/ford/1966-mustang_mach_1_concept/
Happiness is a Rail Fence
One reason this good looking Mach 1 Mustang is photographed at this particular rail fence on a hillside in the Joshua Creek Park of the Texas Hill Country is b/c that’s a favorite spot of theirs. It’s where their dreams have grown. I imagine they spent many a day there laying their Hot Rod plans and dreaming dreams of Mustang Cruises to the local drive-in with friends. And on a project like this one U’ve got to do like ole Winston Churchill said back in the dark days of the Battle of Britain. “Never, Never, Never – give up.” And that is how U save a nation from barbarians. And that is how U finish a yonks-long Street Rod project! ~:0)
First U Must Have Attitude
Why even my nasty old Rat Rod project has come to fruition through attitude. I bought the 51 Willys through eBay! The Truck was in Oregon for crying out loud! How’d I get the rod to Texas? How’d I have the Chutzpah to bid on it? Where’d the money come from? What made me think I could rebuild it? – – – It’s like ole Napoleon Hill said in his great book ‘As a Man Thinketh’, “Every man is where he is by the law of his being; the thoughts which he has built into his character have brought him there, and in the arrangement of his life there is no element of chance, but all is the result of a law which cannot err.” ~:0)
U R Right!
I guess the only thing I’d change in what Hill has said is the word Man – to the word Person. I know many will argue that their case is different. The Law of Attraction works for everybody else. But it just won’t work for them. Like Henry Ford said, “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t–you’re right.” – Ha! There U have it! How do U build a fab ’69 Mach 1 Mustang? U think it into reality! Woot! There ya go! The Secret of Life in the nutshell my friend. Now where R U gonna get hot rodding advice like this anywhere else! Ole VivaChas! – The place where U can get a street rod up on Ur wall and out in Ur garage – If U got the guts to do it! ~:0)
Free Ur Mind
Oh Hey! By-the-way – ole VivaChas has something else in common with the couple that orchestrated this Mach 1 Mustang into existence. We insure our rods with the same company. If Ur in Texas – get hold of Dreiss Insurance Agency in Boerne, Texas. They can hook U up with antique or classic car insurance that protects Ur baby for its real value. And it’s at a great price! That can free-up Ur mind to accomplish other feats of rodding excellence! Do it! U know U can! ~:0) VivaChas!
