What’s the Wiki Got to Say 39 Mercury -Wise?
“The Mercury Eight was the first model of the Ford Motor Company‘s Mercury marque and was produced from the 1939 through the 1951 model years. It was the only model offered by Mercury until the marque starting producing multiple series in the 1952 model year, at which point it was dropped as a model designation.” Source: Wikipedia

The 39 Mercury Has Style
Lincoln – Zephyr and Mercury certainly were all about style back-in-the-day! Their advertising even tied their product to the “Smart Set” (read up and coming upper middle-class). High Fashion included the 39 Mercury Convertible in our VivaChas Print! Ad Source: Old Car Advertising
Back to this black bewdy of a 39 Mercury convertible. I like the minimalist bumpers on rides of this era. Simple – light-weight – chrome ribbon mounted on spring steel brackets. U may cry that today’s bumps are made for safety. Actually the new bumpers are rated for impact at 5 mph or less. I say if Ur gonna go – go for it! Drive something that has some style.
1940 Mercury Convertible
This 40 Mercury is a Dream! Hope U can appreciate the Looks. The Repetition of Line in this design is the Height of Art Deco Style. Imagine Urself Driving this Ride. Can U? I Can! I can see ol’ whatshername – JuJu – riding beside on a Cruise through the Texas Hill Country. Why – we might even head on into town for a nice supper. Cept our Fave Restaurant is just down the road from our place. Remind me to tell U about Antojitos Becky’s on Park Road 37 sometime. Great Tex-Mex! ~:0) Video Source: spudsgarage
JuJu Does the Honors
Oldwhatshername was hovering around this rod when I finished a conversation with a fellow rodder. She flagged me over to her. She likes a ride that looks like something. And she likes the wind in her hair. She wanted to know the story on this 39 Mercury. She wanted to know if it was for sale! I chatted with the lads. I conveyed their comments back to ole JuJu. We decided now we have something to save up for. U just might be seeing ole VivaChas being chauffeured around the Texas hill country in a nice midnight black 39 Mercury convertible. And with Good Ol’ JuJu-Juni doing the honors at the wheel – It could happen!

Worth It’s Metal ~:0)
We had a print done of this great 39 Merc. Had it done on metal so’s it’d look its dazzling best. The metal reflects the light like it’s alive! We put it up where we can see it everyday. It’s an inspiration for what we’re gonna be driving soon – a bewdy of a 39 Mercury convertible! The print is available on archival paper – Canvas – Metal or Acrylic! ~:0) VivaChas!
