23 Model T Hot Rod Oldest of 2017 Watercolours
This 23 Model T Hot Rod Watercolour Illustration is a fond memory of a sanitary street rod from artist Chas Sinklier aka VivaChas! Always up for a challenge Chas used lots of frisket one of the many tools used in creating paintings of this sort. Seeming endless layers of the masking frisket alternated with puddles of paint applied and withheld created the multi-media effects in this watercolour sketch. You can enjoy the adoration of your mates with this little beauty up on your walls. Framed and Giclée printed on archival paper will give you a real treasure for your special space! This piece of Hot Rod History is spawned just for you when you order your print. Buy it Now and You will be glad you did. This pix from Chas makes the perfect gift for the custom car lover. Go on! You know you want it!! ~;0) Link to the photo-post of this 23 Model-T Rod!
1932 Ford Roadster Ink and Watercolour Rendering
This 1932 Ford Roadster Ink and Watercolour Rendering is the copywrited art-work of Chas Sinklier aka VivaChas! The 32 Ford Roadster is the iconic street-rod done up using all the contemporary artist’s tools done in much the way as the Old Masters and illustrators of old. But we are in the 21st century so that tool-box is quite bulging with lots of fun things old and new. I’d like to thank watercolourist Randy Sprout and graphic designer Keith Hawley for inspiring and encouraging me to re-engage in watercolour and drawing as I had been trained back-in-the-day! And thanks to other Artists here who have encouraged and inspired me in my work! – Thanks Guys! Here’s hoping this sort of sketch or coloured drawing meets with your approval! ~;0) Here’s a link to another version of this ride!
32 Three Window Coupe Watercolour
This image of a 32 Ford Three Window Coupe Watercolour is often termed a Watercolour sketche or drawing. Personally a painting of this sort is usually a good deal more work than what we commonly refer to as a sketch. Pigment is withheld from certain areas with a substance called frisket. Frisket blocks or protects one area as another area is being worked. Ideally the background work is done after the detail work has been completed. Illustrations of this sort are often mixed-media. There can be graphite work, ink work and rubbing or scratching as a part of the process in this kind of painting. None-the-less a nice watercolour sketch of a hot rod, street rod or even a rat rod can spread over some days for drying. That’s when the artist works on other pieces often working several at one time. ~;0) Link to another version of this coupe
34 Ford Three Window Coupe Pen And Ink Watercolour
Some say that the only true hot rod is the 32 through 34 Ford Coupe and Roadster. This midnight black 34 Ford Three Window Coupe Pen and Ink one of the 2017 Watercolours certainly fits that bill. But how can we leave out all the other great Fords, Chevys, Dodges and so on from that era. Having such a narrow view in defining the Hot Rod or even the fabled rat rod seems elitist in the extreme. Subsequently round here at VivaChas we tend to take a broader view! – Mostly. And certainly do so in the case of this bewdy of a 34 Ford Coupe. Almost forgot to add that you can own an archival print of what some call a Street Rod Custom. It will be a treasure on your walls at home or the office. Let people know that you’ve got the coolest hobby and lifestyle there is! ~;0) Link to a variation of this ride
Classic 36 Auburn Speedster from 2017 Watercolours
Your walls will love this Classic 36 Auburn Speedster Watercolour from the 2017 Watercolours Series! This is such a gorgeous ride and the image is spectacular as a metal print if I must say so myself. My personal fave though is the traditional archival print in a nice black frame with your choice of matte. When I look at this illustration I seem to hear the McGuire Sisters singing Moon Glow all around ol’whatshername and me. I see a sultry evening. We pull up to the country club in this roadster. We go inside for a lovely dinner and and dancing. We return to the Auburn for a lovely cruise through the country and then home. The Auburn Speedster is the stuff of such Dreams! 48 Dodge 3 Window Business Coupe One of the 2017 Watercolours
The 1948 Dodge 3 Window Business Coupe is one of the latest watercolours from VivaChas! I don’t know about you, but I’d be okay with never seeing another ’57 Chevy street rod if I live to be 1,000 years old. But a Dodge business coupe? Why, yes please! In its day, Dodge’s Wayfarer series, of which the business coupe was one of three variants, was a robust, low-priced econobox favoured by no-nonsense types like plumbers and mafia hit-men. – Haa! – Most collectors hover around the roadster version like mustachioed vultures! But it’s the notchback business coupe that looks best when hot rodded. This bewdy is an iconic classic for your walls! ~:0) Use this link to see this Dodge in a field!
The Fabled 49 Dodge Wayfarer Roadster Watercolour

56 Chevy Nomad By The Sea In The Morning
56 Nomad by the Sea in the Morning with VivaChas and JuJuni on an island in the Gulf of Mexico! Chevy had a real winner with the 56 Nomad station wagon! Naturally round these parts we like to call ’em the estate wagon – But – this bewdy by the ocean is playing the Surf Wagon this sunrise morning! The Chevy Nomad Wagons were a remarkable departure from the 4-door kid transporter of the day. These were two-door utilities that blended style and sport! – This is the Iconic Classic your cruising spirit longs for. Surely it will Enhance Your Life! – Go For It!! ~;0) I’ve got another article and version of this Nomad – here’s the link!

So am I but let’s get this done! – Haa! – Chevrolet created a sport estate wagon in the Nomad line. This ride is blowing sand at the beach. The sea shore has taken its toll but the old station wagon still has heart! It’s got those hot green flames painted on the side to keep it warm.
